Happy Easter! A lot has happened since we last graced your inbox in November. Hereās a quick round-up of whatās been happening in our world.
While weāve been doing a lot of yakking, our awesome team have been holding down the fort - you might have noticed weāve scattered a few improvements across the AirSuite Monitor Portal during this time, primarily focused on enhancing functionality for Particulate Matter sensors:
And today, weāve released a new update to our mobile app, which includes the ability to sign in using your AirSuite Portal account. After signing in just once, you donāt need to enter your organisationās deployment password any more, which will make it an even quicker job next time youāre fitting out a building with AirSuite sensors.
For those of us in New Zealand, we may have had some beaut days lately, but the nights are most definitely getting colder - Iāve been noticing the condensation on my windows in the mornings! Now is a good time to make sure youāre prepared to keep the buildings you manage safe, comfortable and free of mould over Winter.
Best regards,
Brad and the AirSuite team
Weāre hearing more and more from our customers that particulates are a key concern for a number of reasons - whether itās smoke and dust from wildfires in Australia, or mould spores in damp New Zealand buildings - so itās been a key focus for us going into 2024.
Our Particulate Matter sensors capture highly granular data, from PM1 through to PM10 - and although this is a great advantage, we found all these data points were often overwhelming to look at all at once. Having them all together on the same chart also didnāt lend itself well to comparing the PM data produced by more than one device.
The first step we took was to simplify the initial āsummaryā chart down to just PM2.5 and PM10, which is what most people want to look at:
You can now click on the See more button to be taken to a new page containing a more detailed summary, including all available particle sizes (PM1, PM2.5, and so on). Each particle size also has its own graph, which can be used to easily compare data between multiple devices. You can still toggle between Mass and Number concentrations at the top of the page.
Alert thresholds for PM2.5 and PM10 can now be configured according to your preferences, and you can choose whether mobile app notifications are enabled for each of them within your organisation settings page.
AirSuite devices with Particulate Matter sensors can now display the RESETĀ® Viral Index, which is a metric used to assess the risk of airborne viral transmission within indoor environments. It combines data from PM2.5, humidity, and COā levels to provide an overall risk score.
This is one of the first deliverables from a project weāre working on to derive new insights from the information collected by your sensors. Stay tuned for more in the months aheadā¦
Instead of using your organisationās device setup password, you can now optionally sign into the AirSuite mobile app with your Portal account. The app will remember you, so you only need to sign in once to deploy any number of sensors throughout your building or facility.
Note: this feature is brand new! Your phone normally downloads updates for apps automatically overnight, so if you donāt have it yet, check for updates in your phoneās app store.
We also made a few other improvements to the mobile app. Among themā¦
š LTE devices will now remember their own names properly in the Device List.
šŖ§ For Wi-Fi devices, we now record the SSID youāve connected to for reference in the Portal.
If you have ideas youād like to see implemented, let us know! Weāre always keen to hear your feedback.
Best regards,
Brad and the AirSuite team
