How to move devices between organisations and sub-organisations

The AirSuite Monitor Portal allows you to move devices between your top-level organisation(s) and sub-organisations.

Assigning devices to different organisations is useful if you need to grant access for specific groups of people to those devices.

To access Organisation Management, click on your organisation’s name at the bottom of the sidebar, on the left of the screen.

Move devices between organisations

• Navigate to the organisation that currently contains the devices you want to move into a different organisation.

• Click on the “Devices” tab on the left side of the Organisation Management page.

• Select the checkboxes next to the devices you want to move into a different organisation.

  

• In the “Move to…” dropdown at the top of the page, select the organisation you want to move the devices into.

  

• You will be asked if you want to migrate the current deployments (data associated with the device) into the new organisation. This is usually recommended, as it means the device will retain its existing name, and any associated data will carry over to the new organisation.

  If you choose the option ‘Do not migrate’, the device’s data will not be moved into the new organisation. This is preferable if you do not intend to give the new organisation access to the data that was collected previously.
